Senior Sherita Williams Wins Triple Jump At Drake Relays

DES MOINES, Iowa- Four members of the Michigan State women's track and field team competed today at the 95th annual Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
The top competitor for the Spartans was senior Sherita Williams, who won the triple jump by tying her MSU all-time outdoor record with a leap of 42-10 3/4.
Meanwhile, sophomore Mickie Rzepka broke her own school record for the second consecutive week in the pole vault, finishing in fourth place with a leap of 12-7 1/2.
Senior Sarah Adelaine placed sixth in the discus throw (159-0) and finished 11th in the shot put with a toss of 48-7 1/4. Freshman Michelle Rossio also competed in the discus, finishing 25th with a throw of 139-3.
The Spartans will continue in the final day of the Drake Relays on Saturday, April 24 with an 8 a.m. CST start.
