Michigan now leads the all-time series, 65-28-5...the Wolverines have won four in a row in the series, a first since the Wolverines won five in a row from 1979-1983.
Today's attendance was 79,401, which is the 10th largest in Spartan Stadium history...the largest crowd was 80,401 vs. Notre Dame in 1990.
MSU falls to 2-2 in overtime games, 0-2 vs. Michigan...the Spartans defeated Notre Dame, 44-41 in overtime, earlier this season...the Spartans lost in triple-overtime in Ann Arbor last season, 45-37.
Junior quarterback Drew Stanton finished 20-of-30 passing for 282 yards and one touchdown...it marked Stanton's eighth career 200-yard passing game...he also rushed for a 4-yard touchdown for MSU's first score of the game.
Junior wide receiver Kerry Reed caught career-long 61-yard reception for a touchdown in the second quarter to tie the game at 21.
Sophomore SirDarean Adams intercepted a Chad Henne pass on the first possession in the second half that led to Spartan field goal...Adams also intercepted a pass, for a touchdown, during Notre Dame's first possession of the second half.
Senior Domata Peko ran for a 74-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter after picking up a fumble by Chad Henne...it tied the game at 31...it was the first fumble return for a touchdown by a Spartan since Clifford Dukes ran for a 65-yard score vs. Michigan on Nov. 1, 2003, in Spartan Stadium...it also marked MSU's second defensive score of the 2005 season (SirDarean Adams returned an interception 30 yards for a TD vs. Notre Dame).
Michigan State scored 10 points off Michigan turnovers...MSU capitalized on SirDarean Adams interception with a field goal in the third quarter...Peko's fumble return in the fourth quarter provided seven more points.
David Herron Jr. recorded 13 tackles, including one for a loss of three yards...his career best is 14, which he delivered last season at Penn State...it marked Herron's fourth career double-figure tackles game.
