STANTON WATCH
Junior quarterback Drew Stanton threw a touchdown pass in his 12th consecutive game, extending his school record...he also extended his school record by throwing for over 200 yards in his 12th straight game...he finished with 233 yards on 23-of-36 passing...the 233 yards are the sixth-best effort by a Spartan quarterback vs. Penn State.
With his 233 passing yards, Stanton become only the second quarterback in MSU history to eclipse the 3,000-yard mark...Stanton finished the season second in MSU history with 3,077 passing yards.
Stanton tossed one touchdown pass, giving him 22 for the season, which establishes a new single-season record at Michigan State...Stanton also collected 314 yards of total offense...his 3415 yards of total offense this season is another school record.
Stanton rushed for a season-best 81 yards on 19 carries...his previous season-high was 60 yards in the opener vs. Kent State.
