* Michigan State clinched its second-ever Big Ten title and first since 1997. The Spartans will share the Big Ten title with the winner of Sunday's Penn State at Ohio State game if OSU wins at Purdue Thursday. If Ohio State loses at Purdue, MSU could win the title outright if OSU then beats Penn State.
* Michigan State improved to 25-3 overall and 14-2 in the Big Ten. The 25 wins extend the school record for victories in a season, while the 14 Big Ten wins breaks the school record of 13 set during the 1990-91 season (13-5).
