Women's Track And Field Thrives At Stanford Invite

Palo Alto, Calif. - Spartans thrived at the Stanford Invitational on March 25-26 in Palo, Alto, Calif. Katie Kelly and Michelle Rafferty both ran the 10,000-meter run, and both had NCAA provisional qualifying times, smashing their personal bests by nearly two minutes.
Kelly had a time of 34:17, which is just seven seconds shy of the NCAA automatic qualifying time, and Rafferty finished in 34:48. Also at Stanford, Michelle Carson ran the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:48.49, good for 14th place.
Next, the women's track and field team hosts the MSU Invitational on April 9. Before that, the Spartan men head to Columbus, Ohio, for the Ohio State Relays on April 2.
