Wrestling Signs Nick Palmieri To A National Letter Of Intent

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State head wrestling coach Tom Minkel has announced the signing of Nick Palmieri from Mayfield High School in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.

Palmieri finished 2005, his senior season, with a 43-4 record at 215 pounds, capturing the sectional championship and being selected to the all-conference first-team. He compiled a 4-1 record at the 2005 Ohio State Championships, taking third.

Competing at the 2005 NHCA Senior Nationals March 30-April 3, he notched a 6-2 record and two falls en route to a sixth-place finish.

Palmieri tallied a combined 77-26 record in his sophomore and junior campaigns. He will join the Spartans for the 2005-06 season.
