EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State baseball team has set two promotions for its upcoming five-game homestand (May 11-15).
On Wednesday, May 11, the Spartans will have a "Spartan Spirit Night" against Western Michigan at Lansing's Oldsmobile Park at 7 p.m. Admission to the game is $1 for individuals wearing Michigan State Green and White apparel.
MSU baseball also has proclaimed the May 13-15 weekend as "Yooper Weekend" when they host Penn State University in a Big Ten series at Kobs Field. All fans who are residents of the Upper Peninsula will be admitted free of charge for each of the games. Fans may present identification at the entrance to Kobs Field to gain free admission.
"This is an opportunity for us to reach out to our fans in the U.P.," said MSU head coach Ted Mahan. "We welcome our neighbors from the North and hope they enjoy their visit to East Lansing and their experience with the Spartan baseball program."
The Spartans take on the Nittany Lions in a single game at 3 pm on Friday, May 13, while Saturday's doubleheader and Sunday's single game are slated to start at 1 p.m.
