EAST LANSING, Mich. -
Why did you choose to come to Michigan State?
I chose MSU because the coaches made me feel right at home. I have never met a team who took me in the first day they met me, and that is exactly what the coaches and team did for me.
When you're not playing softball, what do you like to do?
When I'm not playing I like to hang out with teammates and watch movies or play on my computer.
Who has been the biggest influence in your softball career thus far?
My whole family has an influence on my softball career. They are all so supportive of every decision I have made and everything I do.
What has been the most difficult thing for you as you have made your transition into college and living across the country from home?
The most difficult thing for me would have to be me being away from my parents for so long.
What are you most looking forward to about your freshman softball season at Michigan State?
I'm looking forward to playing at the collegiate level and the competition that comes along with it.
You have recently been selected for the 2006 Junior Women's National Softball Team. Can you talk about that and the excitement you must feel?
It was definitely a great experience and I had the best time playing with some of the best softball players in the country. I would have to say the best feeling in the world was telling my mom I had made the team and hearing her almost cry because she was more excited then I was.
What has it been like getting used to a new team and a new home here at Michigan State?
It has been easy for me to get used to a new team and a new home because like I said before, the girls on the team have made the transition so easy. They have really taken (fellow freshman) Kelly (Confer) and I under their wing and helped us out both on and off the field.
