Final Two Days At NFCA Leadoff Classic Cancelled

COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Spartan softball team headed to Columbus, Ga. this weekend to compete in the annual NFCA Leadoff Classic featuring 24 of the nation's top softball programs. Due to inclement weather that moved through the southern states throughout the day on Saturday, all games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday have been cancelled. State (4-2) went 0-2 in pool play vs. No. 12 Georgia and Southern Illinois on Friday. The Spartans will travel to Plant City, Fla. next weekend, where they will face Boston University, March 4 at 1:30 p.m.
