Ryan Brehm Cards 80 At Day Two of NCAA Regional

CHARDON, Ohio - Sophomore men's golfer Ryan Brehm (Mount Pleasant, Mich.), competing as an individual, shot a 9-over 80 in Friday's second round of the NCAA Central Regional at the par-71, 7,173-yard Sand Ridge Golf Club. For the tournament, Brehm is 15-over with a score of 157 (77-80) and is tied for 112th heading into Saturday's final round. The top 10 teams and lowest two individuals not competing on an advancing team will move on to the NCAA Championships at the Sunriver (Ore.) Resort's Crosswater Course on May 31-June 3.
Brehm started the day with four straight birdies, but then double-bogeyed holes No. 5 and 6. He made par on the 7th and 8th before closing the front nine with a bogey on the par-5 9th, entering the back nine with a 5-over 40.
On the back nine, Brehm bogeyed four of his first five holes before making par on the last four to close the round with a 9-over 80.
