EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Big Ten Network kicks off its coverage of the Michigan State-Northwestern game with "Friday Night Tailgate", the network's television show devoted to capturing the excitement of game week on each Big Ten campus.
This week "Friday Night Tailgate" visits East Lansing and West Lafayette, Ind., to determine whether Michigan State or Purdue has the better football atmosphere.
The show airs live at 8 p.m. on the Big Ten Network and is hosted by Mike Hall.
This week, campus correspondent Andy Cameron will explore the great outdoors with the MSU Archery Club, paddle the Red Cedar River and become a star thanks to the Michigan State solar telescope.
The episode of "Friday Night Tailgate" is part of a year-long competition between Big Ten schools. At the conclusion of the football season, one Big Ten school with the best football atmosphere will be crowned champion.
On Saturday, the Big Ten Network will televise the Michigan State-Northwestern game at noon. Wayne Larrivee, Charles Davis and Charissa Thompson call the action from Spartan Stadium.
