Junior Raymar Morgan led the Spartans with 26 points and 10 rebounds for his fourth-career double-double. For his career, MSU is 12-1 when Morgan scores at least 20 points and 4-0 when he records a double-double. Morgan has now scored at least 20 in five games this season.
Morgan's went 11-for-12 from the field and his 11 field goals tied a career high.
Durrell Summers picked up four steals - the highest total for any Spartan this season. He is the first MSU player to record four steals in a game since Goran Suton did the same in a 103-74 win over Indiana last season (3/2/08).
In his first appearance since MSU's win over IPFW (Nov. 19), Goran Suton suited up and returned to action for the Spartans. Suton played 17 minutes, scored four points and picked up five rebounds in coming off the bench.
The Spartans have now run their home winning streak to 25 games and increased their non-conference home-winning streak to 38 games.
Kalin Lucas picked up eight assists for the second-consecutive game. Over the last three games, he is averaging 8.3 assists per game.
For the second-consecutive game, the Spartans scored 27 points off turnovers. It is the third time this season they have scored at least 27 points off of their opponents' turnovers.
The Spartans outscored The Citadel 40-24 in the paint. It was the seventh time this season that MSU outscored its opponents in the paint.
For the second-consecutive game and just the second time this season MSU's starting five included Idong Ibok, Kalin Lucas, Raymar Morgan, Travis Walton and Delvon Roe. The Spartans are now 2-0 with this starting lineup.
The Spartans are now 2-0 all-time against The Citadel.
