Old College Field Renovation Update

Renovation of Old College Field, home of the Michigan State softball team, is almost finished. With a scheduled completion date of Sept. 2, the field will be ready for the team's first practice. The field will now have two bullpens down the foul line on each side. Four new outdoor batting cages, located beyond the right field fence, will be ready for use in the spring.
"We're very excited for the renovation to be complete, and can't wait for the season to get started," said head coach Jacquie Joseph.
The Spartans open fall play on Sept. 20-21 in Traverse City, Mich. with games against Central Michigan, Western Michigan and Michigan. MSU will then host Detroit-Mercy at 11 a.m. and Wayne State at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 5.
