Student-Athletes Donate Food for Holiday Food Drive

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State Athletics Department and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) held its inaugural Holiday Food Drive today (Dec. 17) at the Smith Center. The event was spearheaded by three hockey freshman - Chris Forfar, Matt Grassi, and Torey Krug - with the assistance from members of SAAC. In all, the student-athletes donated 1,023 pounds of food to the Greater Lansing Food Bank for area families in need during the holiday season. Teams went around area communities on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 14 and 15, collecting food for the drive, as well as collected food at drops throughout campus.
