2011-12 (Junior): His 11-point season is better than his 10 as a freshman ... Spent the last 14 games with classmate Anthony Hayes in the middle and senior Trevor Nill on the right side ... Had a three-point series at Lake Superior State ... Had the primary assist on Brett Perlini[apos]s goal that was 13 seconds into the game and tallied a power-play goal (10/14) ... Assisted on Greg Wolfe[apos]s goal that happened with six seconds remaining in the game (10/15) ... Recorded the secondary assist on Brett Perlini[apos]s game-winner at Western Michigan (11/12) ... Had the lone assist on Matt Crandell[apos]s second period goal against Minnesota (11/26) ... Scored in back-to-back games at Michigan (12/10) and against Michigan Tech (12/29) ... Had an assist on Kevin Walrod[apos]s second goal of the game against Michigan Tech (12/30) in the GLI consolation game ... Scored his first goal of the season, an outstanding individual effort, in the 7-4 win over Miami (1/22). His goal was the eventual game-winner ... 2009-10 (Freshman): Given the Provost[apos]s Award at MSU[apos]s Academic Gala, annually given to a male and female MSU freshman who has excelled in academics, community outreach, leadership and athletics ... Appeared in all 38 games ... Played in all situations ... Finished his debut campaign with a 6-4-10 scoring line (-8), tied for fourth among first-year players with Dean Chelios ... Had an assist in his first college game against Clarkson, on Zach Josepher[apos]s power-play goal (10/9), and the next night scored a late game-winner against the Golden Knights (10/10) for his first collegiate tally ... Scored the game[apos]s first goal in a 2-1 win over Western Michigan (10/30) ... Scored in a 3-3 tie with Nebraska-Omaha (11/6) ... Prior to MSU: Played two years for the Lincoln Stars of the USHL ... Captained the team in his final season, while recording an 11-27-38 scoring line (good for fourth on the team) with 89 PIM ... Had a 13-11-24 line in 47 games with 87 PIM in 2007-08 ... Helped the team improve from a seventh-place finish in his first year to a second-place finish in 2008-09 ...
