Anyone interested in trying out for the 2012 Michigan State softball team must attend a mandatory informational meeting on Sept. 6, 2011, at 4:30 p.m., at Secchia Stadium (behind Jenison Field House). Interested individuals should come dressed and ready for practice on Tuesday, Sept. 6, as tryouts will follow a brief meeting.
Prior to that meeting, interested individuals must have registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center and completed the amateurism form, as well as obtaining a physical signed by a physician. Individuals must also be willing to fill out NCAA compliance forms, including signing the NCAA Drug Testing Consent form, and be willing to present or obtain health insurance.
Additionally, class schedules should be arranged to allow for free afternoons, from 2:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.
