MSU Reveals Winning Design for 2009 Football Student Section T-Shirt

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State Athletics has revealed the winning design for the 2009 football student section t-shirt. The front design received 52 percent of the total vote on msuspartans.com, while the back design received 46 percent of the vote. Fans had three options for the front of the t-shirt and three for the back.
Students will be able to pick up their t-shirt at the Spartan Spirit event held Sept. 1, at the Spartan Bookstore during welcome week, and outside the student gate prior to the first home football game. The shirts will be available to the public in a majority of the local bookstores and fan shops in mid-August.
A portion of the proceeds from the public sale will benefit the Spartan Spirit groups, including the MSU Cheerleaders, the MSU Dance Team, and Sparty.
The front of the shirt reads "Michigan State Spartan Football" with a Spartan football helmet graphic and a Nike swoosh logo, while the back script reads "We Are Spartans, United in Green and White" with the Spartan helmet logo.
