Men's Soccer Green & White Scrimmage Cancelled

Head coach Damon Rensing and the Spartans open the 2013 season on Sunday at 2 p.m. vs. Western Michigan.

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's soccer team was scheduled to get its first action on the new grass turf at DeMartin Stadium on Wednesday night at the Green & White intrasquad scrimmage, however the game has been cancelled.

The Spartans will open their 2013 campaign on Sunday at 2 p.m. when they host Western Michigan.

Michigan State enters the season with high expectations, being selected second in the Big Ten in the preseason coaches' poll. MSU went 12-10-1 last season, but came on strong late, winning the Big Ten Tournament and advancing to the NCAA Tournament Second Round. The Spartans return 21 student-athletes from a year ago.
