Barker and Stiles Named to All-West Region Team

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Senior field hockey players Abby Barker and Becky Stiles have been named to the 2014 Longstreth/ NFHCA Division I All-West Region Team. Barker is a First Team selection while Stiles was named to the Second Team.
"It is always a great honor for not only these individuals, but the program as well when we see players being recognized on All-Region teams," said head coach Helen Knull. "Abby and Becky proved themselves among the best in the region and conference and I am excited to see them being honored for that achievement."
Barker appears on the All-West Region Team for the fourth time in her career and is a First Team selection for the third consecutive season. She was the Spartans leading scorer in 2014, tallying 14 goals, 12 assists, and 40 points, ranking in the top five of the Big Ten in each of those categories.
Stiles is no stranger to the All-Region team either, as this is her third consecutive year being honored as a Second Team All-West Region selection. She started in all 19 games for MSU, scoring four goals and recording three assists, leading to a career-high 11 points.
The 2014 Longstreth / NFHCA Division I All-American Teams will be announced on December 1st.
