Saturday's loss snapped MSU's 13-game Big Ten Conference win streak, which was the second-longest in school history ... It also snapped MSU's 14-game winning streak against Big Ten opponents; MSU's last loss to a Big Ten team was on Nov. 17, 2012 against Northwestern (23-20) ... That was also MSU's last home loss, as Saturday's loss snapped MSU's 12-game home winning streak ... MSU is 43-12 (.782) at home under head coach Mark Dantonio.
Saturday was the 43rd meeting between Michigan State and Ohio State and the Buckeyes now lead the all-time series, 29-14, including 15-5 in games played in East Lansing, including the last five in a row in Spartan Stadium.

MSU's 37 points give the Spartans 401 points this season, for a season-average of 44.6, which is still on pace for a school record, bettering the mark of 37.4 ppg in 1978 ... The 401 points marks the second-straight season the MSU has scored over 400 points and the third in the last four seasons.
The Spartans are now 11-20 in 31 games under Dantonio played against teams ranked in The Associated Press Top 25 and is 10-11 against ranked teams since 2010 ... MSU has won four of its last six games against ranked opponents.

OFFENSE
Connor Cook was 25-of-45 passing for a career-best 358 yards with two touchdowns ... The 358 yards were the fifth most in a single-game in MSU history and second most against Ohio State (Jim Miller, 360 yards, 1993) ... Cook has thrown TD passes in each of his last 16 games, tying the school record shared by Kirk Cousins (2008-11) and Drew Stanton (2003-06) ... With 358 passing yards Saturday, Cook becomes the ninth MSU QB to reach the 5,000 career passing yards mark, now with 5,075, moving up to No. 8 on the Spartans' career passing yards list, overtaking Jim Miller (1990-93) with 5,037 ... Cook's two TDs Saturday was his seventh game this season with multi-TD passes and his 14th game of his career with more than one TD pass after seven in 2013 ... The two TD tosses Saturday give Cook 42 for his career, moving up to tie for No. 6 on the Spartans' scoring pass list with Stanton (2003-06) ... Cook's 24 passing completions give him 376 for his career, moving up to No. 9 on MSU's career pass completions, passing Todd Schultz (1994-97) with 360, and Cook needs just 24 more completions to become the ninth Spartan QB with 400 career pass completions ... With 45 passing attempts Saturday, Cook becomes the 10th MSU QB to top the 600 career pass attempt plateau as he now has 640 career attempts ... Saturday was Cook's fifth career 300-yard game, moving him up to No. 3 on MSU's 300-yards passing games ... Cook topped the 200-yards passing mark for the 15th time in his career.
Jeremy Langford rushed for 137 yards on 18 carries with a career-high tying three rushing touchdowns ... Langford extended his school record by posting his 13th-straight 100-yard game against a Big Ten opponent and his 12th-straight in conference action . . . the 12-game 100-yard streak in regular-season conference games is the longest active streak in the FBS and matches the longest FBS streak in the last 10 seasons (Arizona's Ka'Deem Carey, 12 straight) ... His three rushing touchdowns Saturday give him 31 for his career, moving up to sole possession of the No. 7 spot on MSU's career rushing TD list, passing T. J. Duckett's 29 rushing scores from 1999-2001... Langford has rushed for multiple touchdowns in each of the last three games and now has eight career games with multi rushing TDs ... Langford has scored nine rushing touchdowns in his last three games (three each vs. Indiana, Michigan, Ohio State) ... Langford's game-long rush of 33 yards in the first quarter plus his 30-yard rush in the third quarter give Langford six rushes this season of 30+ yards and Saturday was his first game with multiple rushes for 30+ yards.
Macgarrett Kings Jr. had a season-high 79 receiving yards to lead MSU's receivers Saturday, as well as sharing the team-lead with five receptions ... The 79 receiving yards was his second-best outing of his career behind a career-high 94 yards vs. Iowa (10/5/13) ... The five catches is also the second-best performance of his career behind the six at Indiana this season (10/18) ... Saturday marked Kings' sixth career game with five or more receptions, as he had five receptions in four different games in 2013.
Tony Lippett had five catches for 64 yards ... The 64 yards makes Lippett the 10th MSU receiver to top the 2,000 career receiving yards mark as he now has 2,002, moving up to No. 10 on the Spartans' career receiving yards list, passing Mark Ingram (1983-86) with 1,944 yards ... Lippett has now caught a pass in 19 consecutive games ... The five receptions give Lippett 131 for his MSU career, tying him for No. 10 on MSU's career receptions list with Plaxico Burress (1998-99) ... Saturday was Lippett's third game this season with five or more catches.
Keith Mumphery's 44-yard catch in the first quarter was a season-long, topping his previous season-long of 43 yards from season opener against Jacksonville State ... It was also Mumphery's third-longest reception of his career and longest at home, as his career-long is a 72-yarder last season vs. Ohio State in Big Ten Championship Game and a 47-yarder at Illinois.
The Spartans' 536 yards of total offense Saturday was the fifth game this season with 500+ yards of total offense ... MSU's 358 yards passing was the second 300+ passing outing in the last three games and the fourth of the season ... The 178 yards rushing was the Spartans' second-lowest outing of the season behind 123 at Oregon (9/6).
DEFENSE
Ohio State's 49 points equaled the most given up in the Dantonio era at Michigan State (Penn State in 2009; Alabama in 2011 Capital One Bowl).
Kurtis Drummond shared the team lead in tackles with a career-high 11 Saturday for his fourth career double-digit tackle outing ... Saturday was also Drummond's fifth game with five or more stops in the last six games.
RJ Williamson also shared the team tackle lead and also logged a new career-best with 11 stops Saturday, tallying his fourth game this season with five or more tackles, including two in the last three ... Saturday was Williamson's second double-digit tackle game.
Shilique Calhoun logged 1.5 tackles for loss Saturday, for his second game with over 1.0 tackles for loss in the last three games (2.5 at Indiana) ... Calhoun has now tied Ed Davis for the team lead in TFLs with 10.0 apiece ... Calhoun had 0.5 sack Saturday, giving him 6.5 for the season and 15.0 total for his career.
Darian Hicks posted eight tackles Saturday, doubling his previous career best of four stops and nearly half of his season-total of 14 tackles entering Saturday.
The Spartans forced two turnovers Saturday, for their eighth game this season with at least one turnover ... It was also the fifth game this season with multiple turnovers forced ... MSU has now forced at least one turnover in 82 of its last 102 games over the last eight seasons.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Michael Geiger's 40-yard field goal in the third quarter was his third upright split this season from 40+ yards and the 11th of his career ... Overall, it was Geiger's eighth field goal this season and his 23rd career field goal.
