EAST LANSING, Mich. - Big Ten Receiver of the Year Tony Lippett, who leads the conference in receiving yards and touchdowns, has been selected Most Valuable Player (Governor's Award recipient) by his teammates at the annual Spartan Football Awards Banquet held Sunday, Dec. 7 before a crowd of nearly 700 at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.

Governor's Award (Most Valuable Player): Wide Receiver Tony Lippett

Campbell Trophy (nation's top scholar-athlete) . . . named a first-team CoSIDA Academic All-America selection for the second straight season; is the third Spartan to earn first-team Academic All-America honors twice . . . also becomes the first student-athlete at MSU to garner Academic All-America accolades four times . . . ranks sixth in the Big Ten in punting (41.3 avg.) . . .
