MSU Falls to Wisconsin

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State (11-14, 2-6) was narrowly defeated by Wisconsin (7-14, 3-5) on Saturday, 4-3.
The Spartans won the doubles point, with the pairs of Harry Jadun and John Patrick Mullane, and Doug Zade parterning with Brett Forman for the first time this season, winning their matches, at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
Jose Carranza won the first singles match at the No. 5 position for Wisconsin, Michael Sinha took the No. 6 singles point, and John Zordani won at No. 4 singles to give the Badgers a 3-1 lead.
Michigan State evened the dual match score at 3-3, after Gijs Linders won the No. 1 singles match over Josef Dodridge, 6-2, 6-4, and Brett Forman defeated Jakhongir Jalalov at the No. 2 spot, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3).
The match came down to the third set at No. 3 singles. Wisconsin's Lamar Remy topped Harry Jadun, 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, to win the match.
Michigan State hosts Minnesota on Sunday at 12 p.m.
