MSU Heads to Indiana to Wrap Up Regular Season

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State (11-15, 2-7) will travel to Indiana this weekend to face Purdue (4-16, 0-8) and No. 43 Indiana (15-9, 4-4) for its last two regular season matches of the 2014-2015 season.
"I'm looking for the team to bounce back after three tough losses in less than five days," head coach Gene Orlando said. "The guys played hard, and we are just keeping the positive energy and looking forward to some opportunities this weekend."
The Boilermakers are currently in last place in the Big Ten Conference standings at 0-8, and are 0-10 in their last 10 matches. Seven of those losses have been to opponents currently in the ITA rankings.
Indiana is currently in fifth place in the Big Ten standings at 4-4, and is 6-4 in their last 10 games. All of the losses have been to ranked teams, and two wins have come against ranked opponents as well.
"We're looking to show the heart of this program," Orlando said. "The guys are ready to compete, play their best and finish strong. It will be great to get some momentum heading into the Big Ten Tournament."
Spartans in the Rankings
Harry Jadun and John Patrick Mullane are ranked No. 18 in the nation in doubles.
Last Time Out
Wisconsin narrowly defeated the Spartans at home on Saturday, winning the last match to take a 4-3 victory. Minnesota came in and swept all but the No. 1 doubles match, earning a 7-0 win.
Harry Jadun and John Patrick Mullane continued their dominance in doubles, defeating their sixth and seventh ranked opponents in doubles.
What to Expect from the Purdue Boilermakers
The Boilermakers own wins over Dayton, Eastern Illinois, IUPUI and Morehead State.
Purdue has losses from No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 Baylor, No. 3 Illinois, No. 11 Ohio State, No. 25 LSU, No. 27 Northwestern, No. 28 California, No. 29 Tulsa, No. 33 Minnesota, No. 51 Penn State, No. 64 Auburn, No. 66 Iowa, Depaul, Nebraska, Wisconsin and UC Irvine.
Purdue does not have any players in the ITA rankings.
What to Expect from the Indiana Hoosiers
The Hoosiers own wins over No. 47 Dartmouth, No. 48 Cornell, No. 51 Penn State, No. 52 Oregon, No. 56 Washington, No. 66 Iowa, Ball State, Middle Tennesee State, Murray State, Nebraska, Northern Illinois, Saint Mary's, Washington, Western Michigan and Wisconsin.
Indiana has losses to No. 3 Illinois, No. 11 Ohio State, No. 16 Texas Tech, No. 22 Vanderbilt, No. 27 Northwestern, No. 30 Louisville, No. 33 Minnesota, No. 35 Princeton, and No. 46 Denver.
Indiana does not have any players in the ITA Rankings.
