Meet the Spartans: Danny Kruse

The Michigan State wrestling team will feature a freshman each week in order to "Meet the Spartans" leading up to the 2016-17 season.
This week freshman Dan Kruse (Lowell, Mich./Lowell High School) sat down with msuspartans.com to answer some questions.
Why did you choose to wrestle at Michigan State?
I spent a lot of time watching my brother (older brother Connor played football at MSU from 2010-14) and cousins as Spartan athletes and knew I wanted to be a Spartan too.
What are you most excited about as you begin your Spartan wrestling career?
The relationships that will be built with the other wrestlers at MSU.
When did you first start wrestling?
I started in 6th grade
Favorite wrestling memory?
Every time our high school team won the State Championship.
What’s your major at Michigan State and why?
Animal Science, I hope to become a veterinarian.
Who has taught you the most about wrestling growing up?
My coaches, Dave Dean and RJ Boudro
What superhero power would you have if you could choose one?
Control time
Favorite Meal?
Steak and ranch red skinned mashed potatoes
Favorite TV show?
The Office
Favorite thing to do besides wrestling?
Playing pick-up basketball
