EAST LANSING, Mich. - Thousands of Michigan State fans filled the concourse at Spartan Stadium for the 16th annual "Meet the Spartans" Tuesday evening.
The event, presented by Pepsi and Sparrow Health System, gave Spartan fans the chance to meet the entire 2018 Michigan State football team and receive autographs from players and head coach Mark Dantonio.
Fans also toured the press box, visited the Spartan Stadium field, and met with Sparty and the Spartan cheerleaders and dance team.
"Meet the Spartans is an opportunity for us to step away from camp and mingle with our fans and Spartan Nation," said senior safety Khari Willis. "You get to see some kids and some familiar faces from years past. Just to be able to spend some time with those that support us is a tremendous opportunity for our team."
The team will finish preseason camp with practices on Wednesday and Thursday.
No. 11/12 Michigan State opens the 2018 season on Friday, Aug. 31 against Utah State at 7 p.m. in Spartan Stadium.
