Geer-Park Named B1G Co-Golfer of the Week

EAST LANSING --Â Michigan State junior Allyson Geer-Park has been named the Big Ten Co-Golfer of the Week, it was announced by the conference on Wednesday. Geer-Park is shared the honor with Jaclyn Lee of Ohio State.
Geer-Park won her first collegiate tournament this past weekend as she tied for medalist honors at the Mary Fossum Invitational at Forest Akers West. The native of Brighton tied a tournament and career record with a 9-under-par 207. She opened the tournament with a 4-under-par 68 in the opening round and followed it with a 2-under-par 70 and then a 3-under-par 69 on the final day.
It's the third-career weekly conference honor for Geer-Park, who is a two-time All-Big Ten first team honoree.
The Spartans return to action this weekend at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tennessee, Sept. 21-23.
