Softball Welcomes Six in 2020 Signing Class
11/19/2019 5:29:00 PM | Softball
East Lansing, Mich. -- Michigan State softball coach Jacquie Joseph has announced the addition of six incoming student-athletes to the Spartan program for the fall of 2020.Â
Â
The six-member class is ranked No. 33 on the Flo Softball ranking of recruiting classes, which falls fourth in the Big Ten behind Wisconsin (17), Indiana/Purdue (23), and Minnesota (32). The class features a pair of FloSoftball Hot 100 recruits, and adds a pair of pitchers and some incredibly talented hitters.
The Spartans will carry a young team in 2019 with just one senior, and Joseph expects this recruiting class to come in and provide depth, talent, and enthusiasm to the 2020 squad when they arrive on campus next August.Â
"I'm really excited about this group – I think they will fit well and help us raise the compete level in practice every day right when they arrive," said head coach Jacquie Joseph, who will begin her 27th season at Michigan State in February. "We believe that they will not only contribute on the field, but they are also strong students and will contribute to the campus and athletics community. We're proud of the way our student-athletes represent us in the classroom and off the field, and we believe these young players will do the same once they get to campus. We're excited for their opportunities as they complete their high school and club careers and join us in the fall of 2020."
