Spartan Baseball Time Update For Sunday’s Game

MSU’s final game of Brittain Resorts Baseball At The Beach vs. Kent State moved up to 9:30 a.m. start time.
CONWAY, S.C. -- Michigan State baseball's final game of the Coastal Carolina-hosted Brittain Resorts Baseball At The Beach vs. Kent State has moved up to a 9:30 a.m. start time on Sunday morning due to rain forecast for the Conway, S.C. area.
Sunday's match-up between MSU and Kent State was originally slated for 11 a.m. at CCU's Springs Brooks Stadium. However, rain is forecast to start approximately at that time and increasing throughout mid-day into early afternoon.
Michigan State is 1-5 on the season, while Kent State is 0-5. The Spartans lost to No. 22 Coastal Carolina, 13-0 and 12-5, on Friday, before falling to No. 23 NC State on Saturday. The Golden Flashes were nipped by NC State, 3-2 in 11 innings on Friday, then lost to Coastal Carolina, 8-2 on Saturday afternoon.
The match-up between the Spartans and Golden Flashes on Sunday will be the first meeting on the baseball diamond between Michigan State and Kent State, despite being from neighboring states.
