Geer-Park, a junior, and Harris, a freshman, will be two of 12 individuals along with 24 teams (132 players total) competing over 54 holes, Friday – Sunday. The top 15 teams along with the top nine individuals not on one of the advancing teams move on for one additional day of stroke play on Monday to determine the top eight teams for match play competition and the 72-hole stroke play individual national champion. The top eight teams then compete in match play for the team title.
Geer-Park and Harris both qualified for the National Championships by placing as two of the top three individuals not associated with one of the top-six advancing teams from last week's NCAA East Lansing Regional.
It marks the 13th team or individual appearance by Michigan State at the NCAA Championships since 2000. The last time MSU had an individual play at the National Championships was 2016, when Sarah Burnham placed 45th as a sophomore.
The best finish by a Spartan to compete individually at the NCAA Championships was by current assistant coach Caroline Powers, who tied for sixth in 2011.
Harris had her best performance of the year on the Spartans' home course, Forest Akers West, at the East Lansing Regional as she finished third. Her 3-under-par 213 (69-72-72) was just five shots off the lead and included a tournament season-best 13 birdies.

Harris' last four rounds have all been even or below par.
"I've just gotten my game in a little bit of a groove over the last month," Harris said. "I haven't done anything differently. I feel like I've just been building my game and learning over the last semester. It has been a learning process and it has been nice because I feel like I've been able to figure it out. So now I can just play golf."
Harris has played in all 11 tournaments for the Spartans in 2018-19 and owns a 75.57 scoring average.
Geer-Park took 11th at the NCAA East Lansing Regional, finishing 2-over-par 218 (73-73-72). The three-time All-Big Ten first team honoree leads MSU with a 72.7 scoring average.
The native of Brighton has two tournament wins this season. Geer-Park began the year by tying for medalist honors at the Mary Fossum Invitational and later helped MSU to the team title at the Briar's Creek Invitational by winning the individual crown.
For Geer-Park, this will mark her second NCAA Championships appearance. As a freshman in 2017, she tied for 45th place as the Spartans placed 19th in the nation as a team.
"I think I can kind of feed off of freshman year a little bit, as far as playing on that stage," Geer-Park said. "I'm just excited; it was an awesome experience my freshman year. The weather should be better than it was back then, but I'm just excited to get back to that stage."
