EAST LANSING – A total of 11 Spartans will be attending National Hockey League team development camps this summer. Drafted Spartans Christian Krygier (New York Islanders), Cole Krygier (Florida Panthers), Mitchell Mattson (Calgary Flames) and Josh Nodler (Calgary Flames), will be attending their respective organizations' camps. In addition, seven other Spartans received invites to take part in various team camps, including: Dennis Cesana (Washington Capitals), Drew DeRidder (Detroit Red Wings), Adam Goodsir (Los Angeles Kings), Patrick Khodorenko (Columbus Blue Jackets), Tommy Miller (Calgary Flames), Jerad Rosburg (Calgary Flames and Dallas Stars) and Wojciech Stachowiak (Los Angeles Kings). Nodler, an incoming freshman, was selected in the fifth round (150th overall) by Calgary at last weekend's draft in Vancouver, British Columbia.
