Meet the Spartans: Rahmi Khalil

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State wrestling will feature a newcomer weekly throughout the preseason in order to "Meet the Spartans" leading up to the 2019-20 season. This week, sophomore Rahmi Khalil (Macomb, Mich. / Dakota High school) sat down with msuspartans.com to answer some questions.
1. Why did you choose to wrestle at Michigan State?
I was enrolled here and I love wrestling.
2. What are you most excited about as you begin your Spartan wrestling career?
Being able to compete and getting better.
3. When did you first start wrestling?
I started wrestling in the 9th grade.
4. Favorite wrestling memory?
My favorite wrestling memory was when my team went to state in high school.
5. What's your major at Michigan State and why?
I am majoring in mechanical engineering because I love math and science.
6. Who has taught you the most about wrestling growing up?
My coaches have taught me the most about wrestling.
7. What superhero power would you have if you could choose one?
The superhero power I would choose would be teleportation and my name would be Rahmi.
8. Favorite meal?
My favorite meal is sushi.
9. Favorite TV show?
My favorite TV show is Parks and Rec.
10. Favorite thing to do besides wrestling?
I enjoy lifting weights and I play the guitar.
