Get to know new Spartan freshman wrestler Cole Hansen
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State wrestling will feature a newcomer periodically throughout the preseason in order to "Meet the Spartans" leading up to the 2020-21 season.
This week freshman Cole Hansen (Gladstone, Michigan / Gladstone High School) sat down with msuspartans.com to answer some questions.
1. Why did you choose to wrestle at Michigan State?
They have a great education program and the coaches are awesome.
2. What are you most excited about as you begin your Spartan wrestling career?
Competing at the collegiate level.
3. When did you first start wrestling?
I started wrestling when I was 7-years-old.
4. Favorite wrestling memory?
Going to the JRobinson Intensive Camp.
5. What's your major at Michigan State and why?
My major is social sciences. Planning on being a social studies teacher.
6. Who has taught you the most about wrestling growing up?
Jamie Segorski
7. What superhero power would you have if you could choose one?
Power to fly.
8. Favorite meal?
Fried shrimp.
9. Favorite TV show?
Seinfeld.
10. Favorite thing to do besides wrestling?
Watch football.
