Big Ten Announces Second Phase of 2020-21 Hockey Schedule

EAST LANSING – The Big Ten Conference has released the second portion of the 2020-21 season hockey schedule, it was announced by the league office on Friday, Dec. 18. The second phase of the schedule includes 20 contests for the Spartans, beginning Jan. 3-4 at home against Penn State, for a total of 28 regular-season games in 2020-21. Starting times and TV designations will be announced in the near future.

The Spartans will play 10 games in the month of January in a span of 28 days, beginning at Munn Ice Arena Jan. 3-4 (Sun.-Mon.) vs. Penn State.
Michigan State and Michigan will renew college hockey's most-played rivalry in a home-and-home series, Jan. 8-9 (Fri.-Sat.), first in Ann Arbor, then in East Lansing the following night. The next weekend, MSU will travel to Penn State, Jan. 15-16 (Fri.-Sat.).
MSU will host Ohio State, Jan. 23-24 (Sat.-Sun.), then close the month with a visit to Wisconsin, Jan. 29-30 (Fri.-Sat.).
Michigan State will play seven games in February, starting with a mid-week trip to Ann Arbor on Feb. 9 (Tue.). The Spartans will then host Arizona State on Feb. 14-15 (Sun.-Mon.).
MSU will travel to Minnesota, Feb. 19-20 (Fri.-Sat.), then return home to play its final five regular season games at Munn.
The Spartans will begin their final homestand against Notre Dame, Feb. 26-27 (Fri.-Sat.), followed by their rescheduled series vs. Wisconsin, March 5-6 (Fri.-Sat.). MSU will end the year against Michigan, March 10 (Wed.).
The 2020-21 schedule will conclude March 18-20, 2021, with the Big Ten Tournament at a site to be determined.
