Spartans Ranked Seventh in AP Poll, Eighth in USA TODAY/AFCA Coaches Poll

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Following a 40-21 win over Maryland on Saturday in Spartan Stadium, the Michigan State football team moved up in the national rankings that were released on Sunday afternoon.
The Spartans (9-1, 6-1 Big Ten) rose one spot to seventh in The Associated Press Poll, and also up one position to eighth in the USA TODAY/AFCA Coaches Poll. MSU has been ranked in the top 10 of both national polls for six consecutive weeks.
The updated College Football Playoff rankings will be released on Tuesday at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
No. 7/8 Michigan State returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 20 to face No. 5/4 Ohio State (9-1, 7-0 Big Ten) in Ohio Stadium at 12 p.m. on ABC.
