
Michigan State Meets Maryland in Big Ten Tournament on Thursday

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State enters the Big Ten Tournament as the No. 9 seed following a 70-64 win over Michigan on Sunday. The Spartans will play No. 8 seed Maryland on March 11 (11:30 a.m.), with the winner facing top seed Michigan on Friday.
MSU has won four of the last eight Big Ten Tournaments and reached the finals in five of the last eight. The Spartans closed out the regular season with six games in a span of 13 days, including four games against teams ranked in the Top 5 of the Associated Press poll. MSU has won five of its last seven games, including three Top 5 wins (Illinois, Ohio State, Michigan). Since Jan. 31, the Spartans will have played more games vs. Top 8 NET teams (7 games) than not (6 games).
The game will air live on BTN, with Kevin Kugler, Stephen Bardo and Andy Katz calling all of the action.
