
Spartan Women’s Soccer Concludes Road Trip at Purdue Sunday

Michigan State looks for second win of the season.
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State women's soccer returns to action against Purdue on Sunday, March 20 in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Folk Field.
After a loss to Michigan on March 12, the Spartans are 1-4-1 this season, having dropped four-straight games. The Boilermakers are 3-3-1 this season and are unbeaten in their last three matches.
Purdue holds the overall series lead at 14-9-2, including a 7-5-2 record at home. Last season in East Lansing, Michigan State defeated Purdue 2-0 for its third shutout of the season.
Senior Danielle Stephan is sixth in the Big Ten in assists with three. Sophomore Lauren Kozal is second in the league in saves per game with 5.17. Junior Gia Wahlberg and freshman Zivana Labovic lead the team in scoring with two goals apiece.
Purdue freshman forward Nicole Kevdzija is second in the conference with two match-winning goals, and redshirt junior forward Sarah Griffith also is No. 2 in the Big Ten with four goals. Griffith is third in the league with 3.43 shots per match, fifth with 0.57 goals per contest and sixth with nine total points.
The game will be streamed on Big Ten Network+.
