Big Ten Network Football Tour Visits East Lansing

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Big Ten Network Football Tour was back in East Lansing on Thursday on its fifth stop to shoot footage and interviews for Friday night's episode of The B1G Show. The 30-minute show, which airs three times a week on Big Ten Network (Monday/Wednesday/Friday), will devote programming on Friday's show (Aug. 13) with coverage from Michigan State's practice; the show will air on BTN at 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
The show will check in with reports on practice from Dave Revsine, Gerry DiNardo, Howard Griffith and Joshua Perry, who will provide on-the-field analysis of Michigan State's top newcomers, rising stars, important position battles and 2021 schedule. The show will also feature interviews with Spartan head coach Mel Tucker, defensive line coach Ron Burton and seniors Connor Heyward and Xavier Henderson.
After the tour was canceled in 2020, Griffith was excited to get a glimpse at how practice looked under Tucker.
"One of the things I've been really looking forward to is seeing Coach Tucker's team go out and perform on the field," said Griffith. "One of the things that was exciting for me was just the tempo and the enthusiasm that's going on out there. Nothing is ever perfect, but you can tell guys are working hard and they want to do the right thing. I'm looking forward to the season for Michigan State and I think it will be a successful one."
Thursday marked the seventh practice of preseason camp for the Spartans. The team will return to the field on Friday morning in preparation for Saturday's scrimmage.
