Rossi Set for U.S. Women’s Amateur Semifinal Match

For the second straight year a Michigan State Spartan will be competing in the semifinals of the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship. Sophomore Valentina Rossi of Rosario, Argentina will meet Yu-Chiang Hou of Chinese Taipei at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday with the winner moving on to face either Jensen Castle or Rachel Heck in Sunday's Championship at Westchester Country Club in Rye, New York.
Coverage of Saturday's semifinals will take place from 2-5 p.m. on Golf Channel.

Rossi advanced to the semifinals after getting past Brooke Seay in 19 holes in Friday's quarterfinals. Rossi's semifinal appearance is the second straight for a Spartan as Valery Plata achieved the feat last season.
