TEAM/SERIES
• Michigan State snapped a two-game losing streak to Wisconsin with a 34-28 double-overtime victory over the Badgers on Saturday in Spartan Stadium.
• MSU is 8-7 all-time in overtime games, including 2-0 under head coach Mel Tucker . . . the Spartans beat Nebraska in overtime last season in East Lansing, 23-20 . . . MSU is 2-0 vs. Wisconsin in overtime games (beat the Badgers 16-13 in overtime in Madison on Oct. 27, 2012).
• Michigan State leads the all-time series against Wisconsin, 31-24, including a 17-8 record in East Lansing.
• MSU is now 70-33-3 (.675) in 106 Homecoming games in East Lansing.
OFFENSEÂ
• Graduate senior wide receiver Jayden Reed's 25-yard TD pass to sophomore wide receiver Keon Coleman in the first overtime was MSU's first TD pass from a non-quarterback since senior Darrell Stewart Jr. to Brian Lewerke vs. Michigan on Oct. 20, 2018.

• Junior quarterback Payton Thorne was 21-of-28 passing for 265 yards with two TDs . . . the 265 yards was Thorne's fifth game this season with 200+ passing yards this season . . . Thorne's two TDs Saturday was his third game this season with multiple TDs and 11th career game with multiple touchdowns . . . the two TDs give Thorne 41 for his career, becoming the ninth Spartan quarterback with 40+ career TDs . . . the 21 completions moves Thorne to 418 for his career, not only becoming the 11th MSU quarterback with 400 career completions, but moving up to tie for No. 9 with Ed Emith (1976-78) on MSU's career passing completions list . . . Thorne now has at least one TD in five of this season's seven games.

• Graduate senior wide receiver Jayden Reed had nine catches for 117 yards and one TD in addition to his TD pass to Keon Coleman in the first OT . . . it was Reed's first 100-yard receiving outing of the season and fifth during his MSU career as part of his ninth of his collegiate career, adding four during his Western Michigan . . . Reed now has a three-game streak of a TD catch, his second-longest of his career behind a four-game streak in 2021 . . . Reed also now has three TD catches this season as part his 16th TD reception during his MSU career and 24th of his collegiate career . . . the season-high nine catches was Reed's third game with six or more catches, and was the second-most of his career, behind 11 vs. Rutgers on Oct. 24, 2020 . . . the nine catches also moves Reed's consecutive games with a reception streak to 26 in a row, tied for No. 20 among active FBS players . . . • Sophomore wide receiver Keon Coleman snared five receptions for 79 yards with a career-high tying two TDs (27 yards from Payton Thorne in fourth quarter; 25 yards from Jayden Reed in first overtime) . . . Coleman's two TDs matched his career-best from two at Washington (9/17/22) . . . with the pair of scoring receptions, Coleman now has five TDs for the season and six TDs for his career . . . Coleman's 79 receiving yards was his third game this season with 75+ receiving yards . . . the five receptions was Coleman's sixth game this season with multiple catches and was his third contest with five or more catches.

• Redshirt junior wide receiver Tre Mosley had two catches Saturday, as he has multiple catches in all seven games this season and in his last eight games played going to back to last season and in 22 total games of his career . . . Mosley now has a streak of at least one reception in 12 straight games dating back to last season and has at least one catch in 29 of 31 career games played.

• Redshirt sophomore running back Jalen Berger, a transfer from Wisconsin, had 59 rushing yards on 16 carries and one TD, his first TD for the Spartan in a Big Ten game, and his fifth overall TD of the season and his eighth collegiate career TD . . . Berger's 59 rushing yards and the TD were his most since 107 yards on 17 carries vs. Akron in Week 2 (9/10/22) . . . the 59 rushing yards were Berger's most in a Big Ten game this season and third-highest of the season behind 120 vs. Western Michigan (9/2/22) and 107 vs. Akron, while the 16 carries matched the second-most of his collegiate career, joining 16 vs. Western Michigan and just behind the career-high 17 vs. Akron.

• Redshirt senior running back Elijah Collins rushed for 43 yards on 14 carries and one TD . . . Collins scored his fourth rushing TD of the season and ninth of his career . . . the 14 rushing attempts were a season high and the most since 21 carries vs. Wake Forest in the 2019 Pinstripe Bowl (12/27/19).

• Maliq Carr's 72-yard reception in the third quarter was MSU's longest pass play of the season . . . Michigan State had a season-best seven pass plays of 25-plus yards in the game.
DEFENSE
• Senior Jacoby Windmon recorded a season-best 11 tackles, including two for losses (6 yards), in his first start at linebacker (previous six starts at defensive end) . . . he caused both of the Wisconsin turnovers – he picked off his first career pass in the first quarter at the UW 12-yard line, leading to MSU's first touchdown of the game; and then on Wisconsin's second possession in overtime, he forced a fumble . . . it marked his sixth forced fumble of the year . . . Windmon entered the game leading the nation in forced fumbles . . . he now has 10.5 tackles for loss on the season . . . Windmon is the first Spartan to record double-digit tackles, an interception and a forced fumble in the same game since Joe Bachie in 2017 at Michigan.
• Redshirt sophomore linebacker Cal Haladay was second on the Spartans with nine tackles, including a 2-yard TFL . . . Haladay now leads the team with 59 tackles on the season.
• True freshman Dillon Tatum, in his first extended time at safety, recorded a career-high six tackles and had a pass break-up.
• Playing for the first time since Week 1 against Western Michigan, Xavier Henderson started at safety for the Spartans and had five tackles, including a 3-yard tackle for loss . . . Henderson left the season opener in the first half due to an injury and missed the last five games.
• Also returning to the lineup for the Spartans was preseason All-American defensive tackle Jacob Slade, who hadn't played since Week 2 vs. Akron due to an injury . . . Slade was credited with one tackle and one QB hurry.
• Making his first career start, true freshman defensive end Zion Young had five tackles.
• Senior defensive end Brandon Wright posted a career-high five tackles . . . he also forced a fumble and had a 7-yard TFL.
• Michigan State held Wisconsin to 283 yards of total offense, the second-fewest by a Spartan opponent this season (225 by Akron).
• The Spartans held the Badgers to 131 yards passing, the fewest by a Spartan opponent in 2022.
• Michigan State had three sacks (Brandon Wright, Charles Brantley, Simeon Barrow) and nine tackles for loss in the game.
 SPECIAL TEAMS
• Graduate senior punter Bryce Baringer, the reigning Ray Guy Award National Punter of the Week, punted five times for a 48.2 yards per punt average with a long of 68 yards and pinned two inside the 20 . . . Baringer entered the game leading the FBS in punting average at 52.04 ypp . . . with a 54-yarder and a long of 68 yards Baringer has multiple punts of 50+ yards in three straight games as part of in five games this season . . . overall, Baringer has 16 punts this season of 50+ yards and 56 for his career . . . the 68-yarder gives him five 60+ yard punts this season . . . Baringer has had at least one punt of 50+ yards in each of the seven games this season and in his last eight games played going back to last season, as part of in 24 of 31 career games . . . with two punts inside the 20 on Saturday, Baringer now has 11 punts inside the 20 this season.
