Three Spartans Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State men's soccer players Jack Beck, Kellan Landefeld and Louis Sala were named Academic All-District, as selected by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early December.
This is the first all-district honor for all three Spartans. This is the first time since 2017 that the Spartans have had all-district honorees. Spartan greats Jimmy Fiscus and Brad Centala were both first-team selections that season.
Senior midfielder Jack Beck, a native of DeWitt, Michigan, has a stellar 3.89 GPA in supply chain management. Beck has been a two-time academic All-Big Ten selection during his time at MSU. He is second in school history with 85 career starts at Michigan State. The senior, who has been the leader of the Spartan midfield, is a two-time All-Big Ten selection. Beck had the game-winning goal this season against Saint Mary's on Oct. 11.
Redshirt-junior midfielder Kellan Landefeld, a native of Novi, Michigan has a 3,88 GPA as a finance major. Landefeld has fought through much of his career, playing 29 games over the last two seasons. He is also a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
Graduate midfielder Louis Sala, who hails from West Bloomfield, Michigan, has a 3.67 GPA in supply chain management. Sala played two seasons at MSU after transferring from Northern Illinois. He played 946 minutes this season, leading the team in assists with seven. He also had one game-winning goal this year against Wisconsin on Oct. 2.
