
Women’s Golf Adds Two for 2023-24 on Signing Day

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State women's golf head coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll announced today (Nov. 9) the signing of two Student-Athletes to the 2023-24 academic year. Ana Sofia Murcia and Ella Weber have both signed National Letters of Intent to join the Spartans for next fall.
"We are really excited to welcome both Ana and Ella to our program and the Spartan family," Slobodnik-Stoll said. They have both had tremendous experience playing on the international level and bring impressive resumes to Michigan State, both on the golf course and in the classroom. We're very excited for their arrival on campus and know they will help us continue our tradition of success with their dedication, hard work and passion for golf & school."
Ana Sofia Murcia, Bogota, Colombia
Placed second in the Junior South American in Ecuador and helped win the team title, carding scores of 73-74-66-71 … Medalist at the Mariajo Uribe Cup, shooting a 214 (68-73-73) … Posted a 289 (73-75-70-71) at the Junior South American in Peru, finishing in second place and helping lead to a team title … Finished in first place at the Camilo Villegas Cup in Colombia, posting a 218 (73-74-71) … Earned personal academic excellence honors throughout her scholastic career.

Won the 2021 Golf Ontario Tour Championship …Won the 2021 Golf Canada NextGen Fall Championship … Placed fifth at the 2021 Ontario Women's Amateur Championship … A quarterfinalist at the 2021 Women's Western Junior Championship … A four-year academic honor roll selection in high school.
