EAST LANSING, Mich. – With the Michigan State football team entering its third week of spring practice, MSU head coach Mel Tucker gave an update to the media on Monday afternoon on the team's first six practices.
"Going into our third week of spring practice, I like what I've seen so far," said Tucker. "We had a chance to scrimmage on Saturday and get some live tackling in. I thought we had really good effort and really good intensity, and the guys moved around well.
"We're just working to get better every day – the aggregation of marginal gains – just every single guy just getting a little bit better every single day and focusing on the process, and so far, the attitude has been good. The guys have been doing that, on and off the field. The meetings have been great. We've gotten in a lot of situational work, special teams work; I'm really impressed with the staff and with the players. We're just going to keep chopping and keep working at it."
The Spartans will return to the practice field on Tuesday morning for their seventh spring practice.
Michigan State's spring game is set for Saturday, April 16 at 2 p.m. in Spartan Stadium.
