Spartans Welcome Graduate Transfers for First Summer Semester

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Three graduate transfers – tight end Daniel Barker (Illinois), running back Jarek Broussard (Colorado) and offensive lineman Brian Greene (Washington State) – have officially joined the Michigan State football program with classes for the first summer semester starting on Monday, May 16.
Michigan State is slated to begin summer conditioning on May 31.
DANIEL BARKER – TE – 6-4 – 250 – Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – Illinois – Deerfield Beach High School
Graduate transfer from Illinois joins the Spartans for his fifth season of eligibility in 2022 . . . four-year letterwinner at Illinois (2018-21) . . . had 64 receptions for 827 yards and 11 touchdowns in 44 games at Illinois, including 21 starts at tight end . . . has the most TD catches (11) of any tight end in Fighting Illini history . . . earned his bachelor's degree in communication.
