EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State All-America running back Kenneth Walker III, the winner of the 2021 Doak Walker Award and the Walter Camp National Player of the Year, was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round (No. 41 overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft on Friday, April 29.
Spartan All-Access was with Walker at his home in Tennessee to capture the moment.
"As a kid, the draft, I would always question myself, what would I do in that moment?" said Walker. "Having this image in my head, I didn't want to go to Vegas and be around different crowds, I just wanted to be here with my family, because my family has been here since day one, since I was a kid, since I first started sports. That's how I wanted it to be.
"I'm excited to go to Seattle to play for the Seahawks. I'm so grateful for the journey that I had at Michigan State. It was a blessing. The fans, my teammates, and the coaching staff made my experience there amazing."
