Softball Adds Gabbie Evans to 2022 Signing Class

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State head softball coach Sharonda McDonald-Kelley announced the addition of catcher Gabbie Evans to the 2022 signing class on Monday.
"Gabbie is a player that you just love to watch compete," McDonald-Kelley said. "She plays with a ton of passion and grit, and is contagious to those around her. Gabbie can hit for power and does a great job commanding and leading the field as a catcher. I'm excited for her to be a Spartan!"
A native of South Bend, Indiana, Evans attended Roncalli High School while playing club ball for the EC Bullets under head coach Greg Schnute. Extra Inning Softball ranks Evans as the #146 overall recruit and the #56 catcher in the class of 2022.
Evans is the first addition to the Spartan roster under McDonald-Kelley since taking over as head coach on June 10, 2022.
