Michigan State Moves Up in National Rankings

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Following its 52-0 shutout win over Akron on Saturday in Spartan Stadium, the Michigan State football team moved up in the national rankings for the second consecutive week.
The Spartans (2-0) moved up two spots to enter the top 10 of the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll at No. 9. MSU also jumped three spots in The Associated Press Poll to sit at No. 11.
Michigan State returns to action Saturday, Sept. 17 to face Washington (2-0) in Seattle at Husky Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT and the game will be televised nationally on ABC.
