Spartans Open NCAA Tournament on Friday Against Southern Cal

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State is making its 25th-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament under Coach Tom Izzo, extending the longest NCAA Tournament streak in Big Ten history. In being selected, Izzo became the first men's basketball head coach in history to lead his team to 25-straight NCAA Tournament appearances. The Spartans are the No. 7 seed in the East Region and will open against No. 10 Southern California on Friday, March 17 (12:15 p.m., CBS).
The game will air live on CBS, with Andrew Catalon, Steve Lappas and Jamie Erdahl calling all of the action. The TCF Bank Spartan Media Network radio call can be heard on one of 38 affiliates and on the web at MSUSpartans.com, with Will Tieman handling the play-by-play and Matt Steigenga serving as the color analyst.
