
Parking Information for Football Season Opener vs. Central Michigan

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State football will open the 2023 season on Friday, Sept. 1 vs. Central Michigan, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. All classes will be held as scheduled and operational work will continue with limited disruption.
The following parking lots will be closed beginning at 5 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 31, through 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at which point the appropriate event parking pass will be required:
All donor lots reserved by the MSU Athletics Department will open at 2 p.m. All parking lots which are designated for general football parking will open at 3 p.m. All faculty and staff with cars are encouraged to begin leaving campus by 1 p.m. Therefore, supervisors are being asked to determine the operational needs of their individual units and, where possible, use flexible schedules arranged throughout the course of the week so that staff may leave campus by that time.

Spartan fans and guests are encouraged to sign up to receive game day updates from MSU Police and Public Safety this season by texting SPARTANFB23 to 888777. Updates will include safety information, potential game delays, traffic and parking information, etc.

- Lot 124 located on the north side of the IM Sports West and Spartan Stadium

- Cherry Lane parking is limited due to construction of the MSU Recreational Sports facility
- General parking for tailgating is now $30
- There is a $20 entrance fee to Lot 89/MSU Pavilion with free roundtrip shuttle service
