Noah Kim Named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State redshirt junior quarterback Noah Kim has been named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.
Kim was 18-of-22 passing for a career-high 292 yards and three touchdowns in a 45-14 win over Richmond last Saturday in Spartan Stadium. He finished with 313 yards of total offense, as he also rushed for 21 yards and three first downs.
After starting 0-for-3 passing and 3-for-7 in the first quarter, Kim finished the game with a school-record 15 straight completions, going 5-for-5 in the second quarter, 7-for-7 in the third and 3-for-3 in the fourth. In addition, the 15 consecutive completions tied for the sixth-longest single-game streak in Big Ten history. Kim tossed TDs to three different receivers: Tre Mosley (11 yards), Tyneil Hopper (13 yards) and Antonio Gates Jr. (45 yards).
Through the first two games of the season, Kim has completed 36-of-53 throws (.679) for five touchdowns and no interceptions. He leads the Big Ten in passing (285.5 ypg), is tied for first in passing TDs (5), and ranks second in passing efficiency (189.6 rating) and total offense (296.0 ypg).
Michigan State (2-0) hosts No. 8/8 Washington (2-0) on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 5 p.m. in Spartan Stadium. The game will be streamed live on Peacock.
