Spartan Hockey Meets the Media In Advance of 2023-24 Season

East Lansing - Spartan head coach Adam Nightingale and several players met with the media on Wednesday to preview the 2023-24 Michigan State hockey season.
Ten players participated in round-table interview sessions, followed by Adam Nightingale addressing the media to answer questions about the upcoming campaign. Michigan State has been selected third in the Big Ten Preseason Poll, and is ranked ninth in the USCHO national survey.
At the conclusion of the interview sessions, Coach Nightingale and Director of Player Personnel Mike Porter prepared and served lunch to the media on the patio off his office, cooking up freshly-made pizzas - some even with requested toppings. Among them, Nightingale served up his signature pie, "The Diablo" (pepperoni, jalapenos, and hot honey).
Michigan State begins the 2023-24 season on Saturday, October 7 when it hosts Lake Superior State University. That evening, the rink will be dedicated in honor of former head coach and Athletic Director Ron Mason.
